Last of school

Ashley and I went to Rey's 5th grade graduation on Wednesday. The second award announced was the Valedictorian. We were so happy when Mr. Whiten announced Rey's name! I was crying while trying to take a picture of Rey. I am so proud of you REY!!!

(Thanks to our friend Amy for taking the picture of the 3 of us!)

Just playing around

I love to take pictures of my little ones. Looking back over the past few months, I have portraits of the kids. I sometimes forget to take pictures of them playing. So here are a few from a the park. Love to see the kids playing.

Buzz Lightyear

A wonderful thing has happened at our house. Ammon is toliet trained!!! Ammon picked out Buzz as his reward for toliet training. After almost 15 years of diaper changing, it is almost over. I am so ready for Caleigh to toilet train also. I am thinking that 2 is a good time to start. We just need her to talk a little more since that helps tons in the communication area.

Who you really are

When I look through my camera, I try to capture the person on the other side as they really are. To me a cheesy smile for the camera doesn't show the real person inside. I want a memory of who that person is- the person inside. Here are a few more of my kids, taken with my new 85mm lens.

my new 85mm lens

I just got this new lens yesterday! Kelsey was very good to let me practice on her-even though she was not having the best day. She is so beautiful! I love the colors of spring.

Making pancakes

We love pancakes at our house. I think that we could eat them everyday. Sometimes the simple things bring the most joy. My children are my joy!

more lost bluebonnets

lost bluebonnets

Ammon has been wanting everyone in the family to go see the bluebonnets. Late yesterday afternoon, we went to see the bluebonnets. Well, the rain from the past few days has made the weeds grow lots. The bluebonnets were not very big to begin with this year and they got lost in the weeds.
Ashley told me that I could just take candid shots- don't take time to pose the kids! Well the kids are used to posing for the camera and some did anyway. The weather was nice- however, there wasn't a lot of light to redirect in the pictures. So the eyes look dark- I miss the catchlights in everyone's eyes. I do love the expressions and the randomness of the pictures. This is how we really are! Enjoy!

A gift from God

This little one is so very precious. I was so priviledged to be able to take pictures of her. She is so tiny and new. I realized while holding her, that Heaven is so very close to us. What a special gift from God! Welcome little Parker.
